No matter what a bride's style is, it's guaranteed that she'll want to look beautiful and timeless, yet still modern and unique, on her wedding day. But how can you predict which of today's styles will elicit the same gasps of excitement in 30 years that they do today? Before heading to the bridal salon, familiarize yourself with the latest trends and focus on styles that feature classic silhouettes and details that truly represent you.

1. Tulle Skirt


Is there anything more romantic than a full, floating tulle skirt? The ballet-inspired style offers a modern update to traditional ball gowns since it gives brides a classic princess silhouette without a heavy tiered or satin skirt. The look can also be surprisingly versatile: brides can purchase a removable tulle skirt to wear over a sheath gown or minidress for the ceremony, then remove the skirt for the reception! 2. Keyhole Back


Brides eager to bring some sex appeal to their ensemble – without shocking conservative guests – will find a happy medium with a keyhole back. The cutout shows just enough skin, while still remaining youthful and chic. 3. Long Sleeves


We have Kate Middleton to thank for the surge in popularity of gowns with long sleeves! It's no wonder the Duchess of Cambridge chose this gorgeous style: Sheer sleeves with a touch of lace are traditional and modest, yet theydon't make a bride look like she belongs in the 19th century. Sleeves complement any silhouette, from ball gowns to A-line to sheath, and they can even be paired with a short skirt for a more casual, daring look. 4. 1920s-Inspired


The Great Gatsby is back! Jazz Age gowns shimmer with opulent beading in intricate patterns. Even if you're not quite willing to channel the 1920s during the ceremony, party the night away in a fun, fringed reception dress. Of course, these dresses look fabulous in Art Deco venues.
